Couple of new cards

I had a playday yesterday!! I love playdays so much. Those days when you can create for the sake of creating...no reason behind it, just fun!!
I got a couple of new embossing folders that I wanted to play around with. I am so addicted to folders!

This first one uses the fall harvest folder. I embossed on orange cardstock and then rubbed the entire thing with brown colorbox ink. I colored in the pumpkins, vines and leaves with Twinkling H2Os. The shimmer is soooooo pretty in real life! Tied a shimmery gold ribbon around it. Layered it onto a green card. Stamped "FALL" on green and embossed in gold, edged with gold Krylon pen and mounted to card on foam tape. Quick and easy card.Next, I had to use my new spiderweb folder. I embossed a black piece of card and rubber Colorbox silver ink across it. Then, I needed a spider....so I punched a 1/2" circle out of lime and punched a sun (that has a 1/2" center) out of purple. Cut out 4 rays in one area and then every other ray in the rest to get 8 legs. Glue the lime circle over the 'sun', add googly eyes and you have a spider. Mount to card with foam tape, trapping the end of some silver thread under the tape. Use a needle to make a tiny hole in the web where you want the thread to go in. Put thread through hole, pull tight and secure at the back with tape. Add ribbon across the bottom, cut a strip of purple and run through Fiskars paper crimper and add that over the ribbon. Stamp pumpkin (Artistic Outpost) with black ink on orange cardstock. Color with Twinkling H2Os, cut out and attach to card on foam tape. Stamp "Hello, punkin!" (Artistic Outpost) on lime, layer onto purple and add to card. Done!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Have a creatively wonderful day!

I love the Fall card. The colors just turned out so beautiful. Loved the Spiderweb card also. Great idea on how to make a spider if one doesn't have a punch or cutting machine. Creativity at it's best!!
