Cuttlebug Challenge for the week

I am starting to get back in the swing of things after the holidays and getting things done. I wanted to share this week's Cuttlebug Challenge with all of you. Our challenge was to create a card with white embossing. I have seen alot of people ink their embossing folders before running it through the Cuttlebug and I had an idea. I brayered Versamark on the side of the folder that presses in the background part of the embossing. Then, I sprinkled clear glitter ep on it after embossing. It is hard to see in the pictures, but it is really pretty irl. I did this twice and then cut out some of the flowers from one embossed piece and layered them at different heights on the front of the card. Then, I placed pearls in the centers of the flowers.I used Heritage White cardstock from WorldWin Papers, Floral Fantasy embossing folder, Thinking of You stamp Artistic Outpost, adhesive pearls, Versamark ink, Versafine Onyx Black ink, Ranger clear glitter embossing powder.
Today, we are in the middle of ANOTHER ice storm. School is cancelled and my routine is once again interrupted. But, I am glad that my girls aren't on the bus on their way to school with all the ice!!! Our school decision actually made a good decision for once! lol
Have a creatively wonderful day!

As soon as I saw this card I fell in love with it. I love the way you have decoupaged some of the flowers and the pearls just add to the elegance. I just love it.

Robin, this is such a beautiful card.

If I may ask, when you cut out the flowers of the embossing, did you use an exacto blade, or just small scissors. You did such a precise job! :)

Very inspirational! Thanks for sharing it! :)

(I got to your link from the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog which I got from the Cricut MB :) )

Hi Ted,
I attempted to find your email address through your profile, but it is set as private, so I couldn't. I just wanted to tell you that I use small scissors for most cutting. I hate Xacto knives and only use them when I have to. lol It is quite easy to cut out these flowers because they are embossed and you just follow the line.
Thanks for stopping by!

Your card is truly gorgeous! I love the idea of using Versamark before embossing then adding the glitter over it - ingenious! Your decoupage detail looks fantastic. I own this Floral Fantasy folder but I haven't used it yet - you have now inspired me!!
