Artistic Outpost-Serenity

Hi everyone! I thought I would share a card I made this morning using Artistic Outpost stamps and Nestabilities. This really just started by me stamping and embossing the gorgeous scene stamp. I was playing around with my Inktense watercolor pencils and trying to find my mojo! After I was done coloring it, I thought it looked like a little mini painting that needed a frame. So, I pulled out my Nesties and started cutting out frames. I did the black one (and inked with Versamark and embossed with clear to add texture) and then a larger blue one that I also embossed with a Cuttlebug folder after embossing the Nestabilities part. Then, finally onto another black frame. These frames are all layed together with a ribbon woven through the sides and added to the card (stamped image is flat to black base card) on pop dots to create a raised frame around the scene. Finally, I added a bow to one side and two buttons to the other. It is a pretty simple card, I but I was happy with the final result.

Materials: PAPER: High Gloss-black, Colormates-Heritage White (WorldWin Papers), Light blue cardstock STAMPS: Serenity (Artistic Outpost) INK: Versamark (Tsukineko) OTHER: Nestabilities-Long Curved Rectangles (Spellbinders), Cuttlebug Embossing Folder-Birds and Swirls (ProvoCraft), Inktense Watercolor Pencils, Black/Clear eps, White satin ribbon, silver & black buttons

I know I have been a bit quiet on my blog lately. That is because I have been doing alot of planning for the upcoming blog hop event at The Pink Elephant. Yes!! It is THIS weekend and the fun starts at 7 PM EST on Friday night. You won't want to miss all that we have in store for you...challenges, games, tutorials, prizes! Hope to see you there!

Have a creatively wonderful day!
