It's a new week at Our Creative Corner. This week was tough for me at first. It is a "limited supply" challenge. We were allowed to have a maximum of 3 layers of paper (including the layer with the image), one embellishment (ribbon OR brads OR buttons, etc) and a sentiment was optional. I thought and thought about this and couldn't see how I could only use 3 layers of paper. I am over layerer, compulsive matter if you will. lol But, after I got started, this card came really easy. I knew I wanted my embellishment to be ribbon because I could cover more of the card and make it more interesting. I pulled out this set of American Crafts ribbon to determine my color scheme. I love this green color with pink!!!! I didn't have a deep pink as dark as the ribbon color, but by swiping an inkpad across the edges of the scalloped circle, I got a wonderful depth that I hadn't planned. Love it! The Charlie image was stamped with an olive ink and then colored with Twinkling H2Os. It is much brighter and shimmier in person, but that is what I get for using my Twinks and a bad Kodak camera! lol
Materials:
PAPER: Colormates-Medium Spring Green, Light & Deep Pretty Pink (WorldWin Papers)
