The Pink Elephant Easter Blog Hop!!!

The time has finally come to start this much anticipated blog hop!! I am so very excited!!! We all hope that you will have a fun weekend with us at TPE!

Welcome to The Pink Elephant Easter Blog Hop! This is your first stop to see all the fabulous Easter and Spring cards that the design team has come up with. If you didn't arrive here from The Pink Elephant, you may want to head back over the for details about this blog hop and the mini challenge for the weekend! You won't want to miss the fun things that everyone has to share! Some of the dt are offering blog candy too!

Here is my card idea for the blog hop:
I wanted to make some fun springtime cards to help me remember that Spring IS on the way! These are small (the larger one is about 4"), but they are filled with cheery cuteness and very easy to make.

For the label shaped one, I took a piece of cardstock 4"x8" and folded it in half. I lined the Nestabilities up on the card with the one side hanging over the fold edge. This kept it from cutting off the fold. Then, I embossed the front of the card. Cut the pp out with the next size down of label die. Tied a ribbon around it and added it to the card with pop dots. Stamped the sentiment and cut out with a smaller label die and added it to the card. Finally, I cut out some tiny butterflies from the pp and punched some small flowers and attached them to the card.

For the scalloped circle one, I did essentially the same thing only with scalloped and regular circles. I also pop dotted the sentiment circle on this one though.

Now that you have seen the eye candy, how about some blog candy?!?! Here is what I am offering this weekend:

Three sets of Easter themed Studio G stamps, a small acrylic block and two packs of cute paper flower stickers. All you have to do to have a chance to win this candy is leave a comment on THIS post telling me about your favorite Easter tradition or your favorite thing about Spring. Isn't that easy? I will use random.org to choose a winner and I will announce it on Monday.

After you are done on my blog, be sure to hop over to Lori R's blog to see what she is sharing!! I will give you a hint that she has some blog candy up for grabs!!!

Happy Hoppin!!

What pretty vibrant colours you've used in your cards. Perfect for Spring.
My favourite thing about Spring is seeing the mounds of daffodil and crocus bulbs peeking out along the grass verges when we go out and about.
A sure sign that warmer weather is on it's way.

I love how bright your spring cards are. Okay, here's the thing we don't celebrate Easter but I love Easter candy, specifically Cadburry Mini Eggs. :)

Hi Robin! First of all let me just say, your cards are so pretty!! I love the bright colors, I am so happy Spring is on the way..YAY!! As for Easter traditions, my favorite thing by far is coloring easter eggs with my kids. I remember one particular year when my youngest son was about 2 and he kept plopping the eggs into the coloring, splashing dye everywhere and cracking all his eggs. Only to yank it back out of the mug and start all over with the next color. What a mess....it was great :) Thanks for sharing your creations!!

What darling cards. I love how you made the one on the left with the nesties die. I'll have to remember that technique for when I get that set.

My favorite thing about spring is all the green everywhere. I love green grass and what a nice manicured lawn can do for a place. I also love the perfect temperatures in the 70s. Not too hot and not too cold.

Thanks for the chance to win some awesome blog candy. All those stamps look darling.

Robin, these are too cute! I'm getting all jazzed up for spring with bright colors, too. My favorite season here in AZ is spring. The best part is the orange blossoms. They soak up the sun all day, and in the cool of the evening release their sweet fragrance! Love it!

Love your cards Robin, they are so pretty and the colours are fab!

We do an Easter Egg Hunt but because my little girl is dairy intolerant she gets little gifts instead of chocolate. We also decorate a little dried willow tree with easter bunnies and painted eggs and easter decorations are randomly dotted around the house :o)

My Favourite Easter Pass Tme was getting my Daughter and Her cousins together to dye colour the boiled egg's and then decorate them, but I'm sure more decoration ended up on the kids but it didn't matter as they all had fun. On Easter Sunday we used to take all the kids and the egg's to the local play park, where we rolled the egg's down the hill and the kids rolled down after them, sadly these days it would be safe todo tha, with the amount of needles and other things that we find in the park.

I love the creative shapes of your cards!! So cute!

My favorite thing about Easter is watching all the little kids get their picture taken on the side of the house and then racing from there to find the easter eggs hidden all over the yard. My favorite thing about Spring (which is only a few weeks long here in Kansas before it gets horribly hot and humid) is being outside as much as possible and playing lots of soccer!
