I found Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge last week through my friend Lori. I immediately got excited. I love movies and to find a challenge blog that uses films as the themes for their challenges is just FUN!!! I started following them so I could watch for movies that interest me.
How cool that the very first one after I discover them is TWILIGHT?!?!? Okay, I'll admit that I am not a HUGE fan of the movie, but of the books, YES!!! So, I just had to play along this week.
The rules were to use black and red and something that sparkles. Well....when I heard the word SPARKLE....I got an idea instantly for it. I just love boys that sparkle!!! So, here is what I came up with:
In real life, this is SUPER sparkly. I had a terrible time getting a clear picture that really captured the glitter on this card. I brayered Versamark on the Textile embossing folder and ran it through my CB. Immediately, I sprinkled glitter embossing powder on it. The debossed areas are all glitter and the raised parts are normal. I also stamped the words using the Brayton Font and a JustRite Stamper and embossed them with glitter ep. I covered the chipboard hearts with embossed cardstock and rubbed over the raised areas with Versamark and embossed. Finally, I added Stickles (Black Diamond) to the black Dew Drops to make them sparkle too. I am going to give this to my dh as a 'just because' card!!
