TPE-Inspirational Play Along

Hey Everyone!!

We started something fun over on The Pink Elephant this week. The second Thursday of each month is going to be Inspirational Play Along.

A TPE design team member will choose a random photo from the internet to inspire. Some of the dt will play along and share our interpretations and we hope that you will play along too. It's just for fun....this one doesn't have any prizes attached to it.

Here is the inspiration photo for May:

And here are my projects based on it:

This one pulls the diamond pattern with the Diamonds in the Rough embossing folder, the flowers, the hourglass shaped design on the left side of the plate and some of the colors. It is a pretty simple card. I cut the hourglass shapes freehand, punched the flowers and gave them dimension and layered it all together.

This one was inspired by the scallop-y flower on the bottom right, the flowers and some colors.

I had fun making this one. It isn't really an appealing card, but I am sharing it anyways! lol The turqoise and yellow cardstock started out as a pearlescent heavy weight cardstock. I cut out all of my Nestabilities scalloped circles and then colored them with Luminarte's Radiant Rain Daubers. I wanted a shimmery cardstock and didn't have the right colors, so I made my own. The pink is just plain cardstock. I created a pink card and attached the Nesties to it, stamped the sentiment in the center, added the punched flowers and can send this little card to a friend.

I hope you will stop by The Pink Elephant and play along with us!

Love what you've created Robin - especially the first card. I so wanted to use that folder, but it isn't in my collection. It's just perfect to recreate the diamond pattern on the plate. That sentiment stamp is a really fun one. Love it.

Fun challenge Robin, love your take on it. So many Challenges, so little time. Maybe I can get to this later. Hugs Cindy xxoo
