Inchie album

Okay, have you made any inchie art? What are they? Inchies are small (1" x 1") little pieces of art. They are incredibly small and I want to give them a try!! I haven't made a single one because I have often wondered what I would do with them. I don't go to conventions and trade shows and alot of people trade them at those types of events. I don't have time to join alot of swaps anymore. So, if I made them, what on earth would I do with all of those tiny canvases?
A week or so ago, a friend of mine, Susan Stringfellow, shared something that really sparked my imagination!! She made an album to keep her inchies in. It was so wonderful!!! I just had to try my hand at making one. Now, when I actually get the chance to make some, I will have a place to keep them.

I decided to make mine horizontal rather than vertical. So, it is a flip album of sorts. I had so many ideas and of course, mine didn't come out like I envisioned, but I am happy with it. I need to go get some ribbons to tie on the metal rings. I had about 2 inches of the perfect brown with tiny white dots on it. Not enough for what I want. So, I will have to buy more!! I also chose to make this with Ruche cardstock because I adore it. Oh, and because until I put some inchies in it, the pages have the interesting texture, so they aren't boring. I used Colormates cardstock to cut the letters for the front. I was going to use Ruche, but I used it for the arrows on the inside and found that Ruche and Silhouette don't get along real great. It cuts it beautifully, but because of the crepe paper like texture, it didn't want to stay stuck in place on my mat. I will have to come up with something, because I want to cut Ruche on my Silhouette!!!
Thanks Suz for the idea to make one of these!

Robin, I love this!!! I have my inchies in plastic sheets meant for coins and then just in a 3-ring binder. This would be soooo much more fun!!
