File Card Book

I know I said that I had more art coming that would be uploaded yesterday, but life interfered! lol I ended up doing a lot of unplanned things and some things to get my girls ready for their field trips today.
So, finally, at 5:30 in the morning, I have a chance to upload this book that I made on Wednesday. I am very happy with how this turned out. The book kit and all of the die cuts came from Debbie's Die Cuts. I had alot of fun with this. I made this as a small photo album/journal for a family to put their summer memories in. lol All of the paper used is from K&Co/Brenda Walton. I bound it all together with my Bind It All.
The 'S' on the cover is actually a swirly die cut from Debbie that I inked and attached to the cover. Then, I covered it with Glossy Accents and lightly sprinkled some tiny beads on it. The flowers are cut on my Silhouette from the same paper I used throughout the book. I also added the same tiny beads to the brad that holds the flowers together.
The die cut frame here was painted and then only attached on 3 sides so a photo can be added later. I punched out flowers from coordinating paper and added them to the frame. The same was done to the next pages, but I also Cuttlebugged the frame after inking.

I think this page is my favorite of all of them. I I love the way the heart looks after being Cuttlebugged. I also was happy with how the die cuts took metallic paint. They look like metal in real life.

Here a photo can be added on the green side and journaling can be put on the tag and slipped inside the envelope along with other small mementos. I painted the envelope and inked the tag to coordinate with the colors of the paper. The final pages are similar only I stamped the tag with a journalling stamp from Technique Tuesday. Also, I loved the hinge die cuts from Debbie so much, I just had to use at least one in the book. I was on the final page and hadn't come up with a plan yet. So, I decided to use one folded over as a pull tab for the tag.
I hope you like this book I made. If you want to try one of your own, just go to http://thestudioinpreston.blogspot.com/ and get the kit from Debbie.
