Dream Box

Okay, so I got this cool new tool to try out. It is called the Crafter's Companion Top Score Multiboard. It has all kinds of neat functions. It can score perfect cards, emboss designs, etc. When you flip it over, you can use it to make cute boxes!! I also got the companion tool, the Enveloper...which, you guessed it, makes perfect envelopes!!
Well, I just HAD to try it out, so I decided to make a little box. I chose to make it with Doublemates cardstock from WorldWin Papers, so I could have a darker base and a perfectly coordinated lighter lid by flipping over the cardstock. Plus, I love the texture on the Doublemates. I scored and created the bottom...easy as pie. Then, I scored the lid....after scoring, I decided I wanted to emboss it. So, I ran it through my Cuttlebug with one of my new folders "Bird Call". Love the look of that birdie!! I assembled the lid and voila!!! A box! lol I stamped Dream and the dragonflies on the lid and added Stickles to the bird and the dragonflies. I made a paper bow to wrap around the box lid.
Okay, so I have a box...what the heck do I do with it??
Well, the solution was to pull out my trusty Bind It All and make a tiny journal to put inside. The journal measures 2 1/4"x2 1/4". I embossed a panel for the front and back (the back is just grass, no bird). I embossed an additional bird and mounted it on foam tape. I stamps dragonflies and Inspire. Added glitter to the dragonflies, grass and the bird's eye and beak. Cut 2 sheets of Mohawk Superfine white paper into 2"x2" squares for the pages. Bound it all together with the BIA and this is what I got:
And here it is nestled inside the little box:
Materials:
Emerald Isle Doublemates (WorldWin Paper)
Superfine Ultra White cardstock (Mohawk)
Top Score Multiboard (Crafter's Companion)
Cuttlebug and Bird Call Embossing Folder (ProvoCraft)
Bind It All and 3/8" white binding coil (Zutter)
Stamps (Inkadinkado)
Adirondack Ink-Bottle (Ranger)
Stickles-Black Diamond, Green, Gold (Ranger)
The Ultimate Glue (API)
Tape N Roller Plus (Kokuyo)
Paper Trimmer, Scissors (Fiskars)

Beautiful! You should show us a picture of your new toy!

As for what to do with the box, give it as a gift. It's definitely gorgeous enough. Perhaps Christmas gifts for teachers?
