More handmade gifts

Okay, so these aren't paper related, but this is my winter craft passion! lol Now you can see what 'prop' I needed...Shanyn's American Girl!! I couldn't very well show you the things I made for Shanyn (actually Jessica lol) without putting them on her. Meet Jessica...Shanyn's favoritest thing in the world. She loves it when I make things for Jessica to wear.
Jessica is sporting a roll top winter cap and matching scarf. I used a chunky yarn that is blue, brown and cream colored. I picked it up at Big Lots for $1 and still have about 1/4 of it left for paper creations! lol

My MIL got Shanyn a brown winter coat for Jessica that this will match wonderfully.
Here, Jessica is sporting her new poncho and jester hat. This hat makes me laugh everytime I look at it! I want my own!! I am going to try to figure out how to make this on a larger scale. It is just too cute for words. I added the eyelash yarn in the strips on the poncho and into the tassles on the hat for some fun and funkiness.
Christmas morning, Jessica will be joined by Julia...Shanyn's only request for Christmas. She has always loved baby dolls and even though she is almost 10, she hasn't given them up. That makes me happy. She doesn't play with them like she used to, but she loves doing Jessica's hair and dressing her up.
So, there you have it...more of the handmade gifts I am making. I will be back tomorrow with even more. PLUS...something exciting to announce!
Have a creatively wonderful day!

Oh Robin...these are absolutely grande...I love them...My mother used to crochet and even knit little outfits for my dolls, even my first Barbie doll had crocheted dresses, panties, even a little bra one time...Ah, this brings back such memories...wish I still had one of those little dresses now...hugs, Debbie in Georgia

How exciting these are! I have the Molly doll since we share the same growing-up-during-the-war story. Both granddaughters have AG's Bitty Baby. I wonder at what age they will want one of the bigger dolls from AG. The other grandmother took the whole family to Chicago by train last Christmas and the girls all went to the American Girl store for brunch with their dolls....all in matching outfits. I wish they had had those dolls when I was young.
