Clear Dollar Stamps Guest Designer Challenge

Okay, I didn't get picked last time, but I am NO quitter. lol As soon as I saw them doing a call again this month, I just HAD to try again. lol I just love CDStamps. This month, they are asking us to use purple. I use purple sometimes, but am not a huge purple user. So...that in itself was a challenge for me.

I had to make my MIL a birthday card too and I always make sure there are butterflies somewhere on her cards. I decided to use the new Charlie stamps to create a card:
The purple glitter shows as a brighter purple than it really is. It actually is plum like the rest of the purple elements. I am stuck on making cards that are shaped with Nestabilities. I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol then added the Stickles to bling it out. I also stamped the butterflies, colored and cut them out to add to the card. It is hard to tell in this picture, but they are only attached at their bodies. Their wings are bent upwards. Just a fun little card!

Well, if anyone knows me, I always come up with a better idea after I get something done. So, I had to make ONE more card. I hope that this doesn't disqualify me, but I LOVE this card and need to share it as well! This card uses a sentiment sheet from CDS. I, sadly, always need sympathy or comforting cards for people and this set of stamps definitely fits the bill!! They are beautiful images with wonderful verses on them. I used Labels Two, turning the deeper purple panel the other way for interest. I embossed and inked the lighter layer and also embossed the background panel.

Thanks for stopping by and have a creatively wonderful weekend!!
