The Pink Elephant Challenge #5

Well, it's that time for another fun challenge at The Pink Elephant! We are having the times of our lives bringing you new challenges each week and running to all of your blogs to see your interpretations! I can't thank you all enough for participating each week.

This week, we bring you our second color challenge. This time, we ask you to use pink, green and brown on your card/project. What fun colors!! Whether you choose deep colors or soft, muted tones...we want to see them! So, come on over to The Pink Elephant and play along!

Here is my card:Don't you just loooooooooove this elephant? Lori B and I were surfing the net while chatting on the phone and saw this adorable little guy from Sizzix. I made it a mission to find it asap!! Of course Sizzix was sold out, so I did two days of searching to find the best price (and shipping price too!). I found it one place that was cheaper than any other, but it was $10 to ship. rotfl!! Sorry...got on a ramble. I just am a sucker for cute animals lately. Birds and animals are my latest 'thing', I guess!
To make this card, I die cut the elephant in pink and also used a scrap to cut his ear again. I used scraps of brown ruche to cut his toes. I embossed him in Swiss Dots and then adhered the second ear over the embossed one for definition. Added his toes and a scrap of brown behind his eye. White doodling finished him off. I think the rest of the card is pretty straight forward. Just a bunch of layering, pen stitching and buttons.
Materials:
Brown Ruche (WorldWin Papers)
Colormates-Medium Spring Green, Light Pretty Pink (WorldWin Papers)
Elephant #2 Die (Sizzix)
Cuttlebug folder - Swiss Dots (ProvoCraft)
Sentiment stamps (Clear Dollar Stamps)
Shadow Ink - leaf (Hero Arts)
Palette Hybrid Ink - Belle Rose (Stewart Superior)
Versafine - Vintage Sepia (Tsukineko)
Inkssentials white pen (Ranger)
Pop Dots
Buttons
Pink embroidery floss

Have a creatively wonderful day!! We hope to see you over at The Pink Elephant!
